"May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view." - Ed Abbey

Slow Down

Slow down.

Just a notch if that’s all you can muster. You’ll get better at it. No sense in hurrying at slowing down. Wait and see…time will bring change. But don’t focus on time – on some distant future where you’ll be a master of living in the moment. Who wants to be a master anyway? Where’s the fun in that! You will be flustered; you will feel anxiety, disheveled, out of control…uprooted. That’s ok. Just dip your roots in a little bit…to slow own for a pinch of a moment…just enough to feel what grounded tastes like…just a tease.

Take a deep breath. Feel the warm, life-giving sun on your face. Listen to waves crashing on the shore. Snuggle deep into the arms of a loved one. That’s what matters. That’s what makes up life. Connections with nature, with energy…with people. The key to these connections…?

Slow down.
