Beach Play

“We learn that good things don’t happen without a lot of blood, sweat, and tears. I challenge you to move beyond these beliefs of limitation and suffering. I challenge you to accept that you’re here to have fun.” – Gabrielle Bernstein

So life isn’t all about fun, but it sure isn’t meant to be a constant uphill struggle. We find ourselves overly occupied; running around in circles chasing what?…our tails? We get depleted. We find ourselves running on empty, with an inability for anymore demands. Done. Exhausted at the end of the day, but fidgety with a desire for activity and play.

Move. Move. Move.
Moving is medicine.

Play. Play. Play.
Playing is therapy.

Once again, the weekend calls us to exit the city, in search of greener, windier, and saltier spaces. My man surfs. I hula hoop on the beach like a child.

We relax and play, giving into our desire for a change of scenery…a change of routine.

I enjoy the moments when I relax into my hoop dance – be a little silly even. I stop worrying about how it looks. I allow the hoop to wobble, and drop, and roll away – all a part of the fun! Dan snaps a few pictures, smiling and laughing as well.

Therapy indeed.

I welcome my best self without force or strain. Relax. Breathe.

I am thankful for play.
